Tentang Google Adsense

Adsense adalah program periklanan yang sangat menarik yang diperkenalkan oleh Google.com. Google adalah sebuah perusahaan raksasa yang menyediakan mesin pencari yang bersaing dengan Yahoo!. Google.com saat ini menduduki peringkat 1 dunia dalam jajaran situs-situs top dan situs-situs yang paling banyak mendapatkan pemasukan. Google juga mengakusisi beberapa situs top dunia seperti Blogger.com, Youtube.com (dibeli Google November 2006). Situs yang didirikan oleh Larry Page dan Sergey Brin (Mahasiwa Stanford University) ini pada tahun 2007 berhasil menggebrak situs sainganya dengan total asset mencapai USD 25.3 miliar atau Rp 278.3 triliun. Adsense sendiri berasal dari penggalan kata ad (inggris = advertising / advertisement). Berarti adsense sendiri berarti periklanan. Jadi dengan mengikuti Google Adsense anda otomatis bisa disebut dengan publisher. Publisher artinya orang yang mengiklankan sebuah atau beberapa iklan kepada orang lain dengan harapan orang lain tsb mengklik iklan yang ditawarkan oleh publisher dan orang yang memasang iklan tsb memetik keuntungan daripadanya. AdSense (Google’s advertising program) memberikan kesempatan para pemilik website dengan mengizinkan meletakan iklan Google pada website mereka. Iklan iklan tersebut dalam bentuk text ataupun gambar. Tentu saja pemilik website harus mendaftar melalui Adsense program. Google Adsense mewajibkan anda untuk meletakan code kedalam blog anda. Anda dapat meletakan kode dimanapaun di halaman website anda. kode ini menentukan struktur iklan dan content (hal ini membantu Google dalam mengontrol iklan diwebsite anda). Ketika seseorang mengunjungi website anda, mereka akan melihat iklan klan ini. Anda akan mendapat bayaran dari Google berdasarkan berapa banyak iklan tersebut tampil di website anda dan tentu saja berapa kali iklan tersebut diklik oleh pengunjung. GoogleAdsense menghitung pendapatan anda berdasarkan per-click (CPC) dan per-seribu tampilan (CPM) atau disebut Impression. Hubungan Google Adsense Dengan Google Adwords Google menawarkan kepada pemasang iklan untuk memasarkan produk atau perusahaannya kepada masyarakat di seluruh dunia lewat Google dan itu yang disebut dengan Adword. "Adword merupakan sumber/induk yang menelurkan Adsense". Jadi pemasang iklan yang memasang iklannya pada Google lewat Adword itu hanya akan membayar kepada Google kalau ada orang yang mengklik iklannya. Ingat, pemasang iklan hanya membayar kalau memang iklan itu sudah dibaca oleh orang yang ditujunya tidak masalah orang yang mengklik itu nantinya join atau tidak atau membeli atau tidak produk yang ditawarkan, yang penting sudah mengklik. Dan otomatis Google hanya akan mendapatkan keuntungan hasil memasangkan iklan dari pemasang iklan bila iklan itu sudah diklik orang.
